Mystery Jets
An unpleasant event lay the foundation of this group: singer Blaine Harrison was born with a defect which confined him to a wheelchair and the use of crutches and isolated him from his peers. Luckily, dad Henry succeeded in rousing his interest for music and succesfully so: Blaine had hardly left primary school when he started up de Mystery Jets together with his father and his best friend Will Rees. By now, the band have just released their second album ‘Twenty One’. In co-operation with a.o. Laura Marling they create a sound that cannot be defined. Producer Erol Alkan, otherwise mainly into electro, has a large part in it without causing the Mystery Jets to lose their own sound.
