Orca
Right from the first note -hit on a fence post with a rope- you are caught. No wonder: Orca plays exciting, trancy rock on self-built instruments, reminding you of Swell, the Einstürzende Neubauten as well as Goran Bregovic. Songs that are built-up fantasticly, full of compelling breaks, sounding absolutely brilliant. Try this; play slide guitar on a converted light fitting and still produce a heavily freaking, tearing sound. In the process they prove the Faroese language to be an excellent music language, as this man comes from the Faroe Islands. The debut album contains remixes by The Third Eye Foundation, Bookworms and Com-Data.
